Review: Sharing Hailey

I didn’t really know what to expect when I started reading this book.  TBH, I’m not really into ménage erotica.  Well, sometimes I am.  Especially if it’s hot.  But it’s not my favorite.

Our heroine, Hailey, has just ended a long term, physically and emotionally abusive relationship. Literally….just.  Only a day and a half before.  But she’s going on a vacation to Hawaii with her two best friends, Mark and Tony.  As well as her brother, his wife and her sister and brother. (On a side note: that’s a lot of people for vacation.)

Mark and Tony are hot as hell.  You know, like all heroes are supposed to be.  And they are both hopelessly in love with Hailey.  Oh, and they’re best friends.  And they know that her choosing one of them over the other would destroy their friendship. (Which is really progressive of them, tbh.)  And Hailey loves both of them so much that there’s just absolutely NO WAY she could ever choose between them.  But what if…WHAT IF she didn’t have to?

So, yeah, they proposition her to have a relationship with both of them.  And like any girl would, she says yes to the two hot sex gods.  There’s a lot of sneaking around (you know, because her brother is sleeping just down the hall in the same house) and fucking each other like rabbits.  Sometimes apart, sometimes together.  And the “together” gets tricky because while Tony is fucking Hailey and Mark is kissing her, the men happen to kiss.  And the sight of it is so hot that it sends Hailey over the edge.  And apparently, kissing Mark while fucking Hailey also sends Tony over the edge.  And then, Tony locks himself in the bathroom while he frets over the possibility that he might be gay.

 And he totally isn’t.

The author makes it very clear that they’re not gay.

Which, IMO is very sad because that scene was the hottest scene in the book.  Lulz.

I liked a lot of things about this book.  Mostly I loved the men.  Mark and Tony didn’t slide into any particular roles where one is more dominant and one is more submissive.  They’re both good guys – sweet guys – who happen to be in love with this woman.  And if I’m being honest, I wanted to bang them both.  That’s half the battle with an erotica book.  J/S

I didn’t love that literally less than two days after ending a relationship, she was falling into bed with the two men.  And they were all throwing around the “I love yous” like crazy.  Now, I get that they’ve been friends since Jesus was baby, but still, that was a little much for me.

Everything in this book moved at warp speed.  There is reason for some suspended disbelief because they’ve known each other so long, but sometimes it didn’t work.  Sometimes, things felt forced.

Throw in a psychopathic, jilted ex and some high drama…and there you have it.  It was a quick read even though it’s longer than most erotica novels.  And I needed to know how it all ended.

Overall, I’d give it 3 stars.
